Evans Automotive
I live in northeast Florida approximately 4 hours away from Dothan. My family lives in northern Alabama, and my experience with Evans Automotive began when the check engine light on my 2014 Buick Enclave came on while traveling home just south of Troy. I purchased the vehicle through Carmax. I called their location in Dothan and was told that they could not see me for two weeks! Per my warranty agreement (with corresponding deductible), they said that Evans Automotive was on my plan. I called Evans Automotive, explained the situation, and they said to stop by. As an out-of-town individual (280 miles from home with wife and three children) prior to a holiday weekend, I would certainly fall into the category of desperate. When we pulled in, we were greeted immediately and shown into the waiting area. The wi-fi password was offered to my family by Joe Evans, and they hooked the car up to diagnostics. My technician, Billy Hale, pulled the codes and took time to research one for the full extent of potential issues. He explained all of the possibilities. He and Mr. Evans noted what potential repairs were, along with the idea that nothing could be wrong at all and the computer just did not like one thing (from a loose gas cap to poor gasoline). No pressure sales were performed. I opted not to repair (which would have led to many days in a hotel as they waited on parts) and decided to make an attempt to drive home. What was I charged? I was charged nothing. I fully expected a diagnostics charge, and I took time away from Billy's productivity. They explained that they were more than happy to do what they did by looking and not charging me. I was treated like family, and I cannot recommend Evans Automotive any higher. If I lived in Dothan, I would never go anywhere else. The following day (I arrived home safely), the light was off and my local service department did not find any issues to warrant repair. Evans Automotive = ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
